Media engine

Audio and video tools use Mediabunny (Mozilla Public License 2.0, https://mediabunny.dev/) together with the audio and video codecs built into your browser. MP3 files are encoded with LAME (GNU Lesser General Public License, https://lame.sourceforge.io/) and FLAC files with libFLAC (BSD licence, https://xiph.org/flac/), each used unmodified.

Document and image libraries

PDF.js by Mozilla (Apache License 2.0), for rendering PDF pages.
pdf-lib (MIT), for creating and editing PDF files.
fflate (MIT), for ZIP compression.
UTIF (MIT), for reading TIFF images.
exifr (MIT), for reading image metadata.
qrcode, jsQR and JsBarcode (MIT / Apache 2.0), for QR codes and barcodes.
fontkit (MIT), for embedding fonts in PDF files.
Tesseract and tesseract.js (Apache License 2.0), with the Tesseract English model, for text recognition (OCR).
MediaPipe by Google (Apache License 2.0), with its selfie segmentation and face detection models, for background removal and passport photo framing on your device.

Fonts

PDF files created by InspireTools embed the Noto Sans, Noto Sans Mono and Noto Sans Devanagari fonts by Google, licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 (https://openfontlicense.org/). Only the characters used in each document are embedded.

Text and developer libraries

marked and DOMPurify (MIT / Apache 2.0 or MPL 2.0), for Markdown and safe HTML.
Prettier, Terser, csso and sql-formatter (MIT / BSD), for formatting and minifying code.
yaml, Papa Parse, diff, cronstrue and cron-parser (MIT / ISC / BSD), for data formats.
