Is my password sent anywhere?

No. Encryption uses your browser's built-in cryptography. Neither the password nor the file is transmitted or stored.

How do I open an encrypted file?

Use the Decrypt File tool on this site with the same password. The format is specific to InspireTools.

The file cannot be recovered. There is no back door or reset.

JavaScript is turned off. InspireTools processes files in your browser, so the tools need JavaScript to run.

Protect any file with AES-256 encryption before you store or send it.
