Are my files uploaded?

No. Files are read and processed inside your browser. They are never sent to a server, and closing the tab discards them.

Why were some files renamed?

Entry names containing "../", absolute paths or characters that are invalid on Windows are rewritten so nothing can be written outside the folder you choose.
