How is GST removed from an inclusive price?

Taxable value = inclusive price / (1 + rate / 100). For example, 1,180 at 18% is 1,000 plus 180 GST.

When is IGST used instead of CGST and SGST?

IGST applies when the supplier and the place of supply are in different states. Within one state the same total tax is split equally into CGST and SGST.

How accurate is the result?

It is a mathematical illustration based on the numbers you enter. Real products add fees, taxes, rounding rules and changing rates, so use it for planning and confirm with your bank, adviser or accountant.

Are my figures stored?
