Is my photo sent to an AI service?

No. The AI model is downloaded to your browser and runs on your device. The photo is never uploaded.

Can the AI remove the background behind a product or a pet?

Not reliably: it is trained to find people. For objects on a plain background use Plain colour.

Parts of my subject became transparent. What now?

Lower the tolerance, and keep "Connected to the edges" selected so that matching colours inside the subject are left alone.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Images are decoded, processed and re-encoded by your browser on your own device. They are never sent to a server, and closing the tab discards them.
